Dayspring Tutorials started many years ago with Gina Snyder teaching a group of students at a kitchen table. Wendy Coleman developed Dayspring as a labor of love to the Homeschooling community. Under her care, many of our long-time teachers came on, John Clark, Deb Erbach Burger, Marji McIlvaine and Delnora Williams, to name a few. Wendy not only ran Dayspring, but along with Deb Erbach, also incorporated a testing service and educational workshops for parents under the umbrella of Carolina Educational Resources.
In 2005, Wendy reluctantly gave up Dayspring due to serious health problems. Two Dayspring parents, Susan Funke and Beth Lutz, became its administrators. When Susan's family moved to the Chicago area in 2006. Beth Lutz became the administrator, with Delnora Williams acting as Registrar/Bookkeeper. Recently, the administrative duties have also passed on to Delnora Williams, though Beth Lutz continues to work closely with Dayspring, offering wisdom, encouragement and much labor.
We are thankful for Wendy Coleman's dream to bring Dayspring into being and for the help and support she gave as she passed it on to us. We continue to work towards providing encouragement and support to homeschooling parents and educational enrichment to the students they are teaching.
